I am grateful that even though I live far away from most of my nieces and nephews, they still remember me and love me. I was a little worried about visiting because I wasn't sure if some of the younger kids would remember me.


Charlotte was by far the hardest one to win over, but thanks to giving her a dry towel and chocolate she became less and less shy with me.


I am grateful for the time we were all able to spend with each other. It doesn't happen often, but it is wonderful when we can work it all out.

Whenever I workout, I listen to General Conference talks. I listen to them a few times so I can focus on the message in each talk and how it applies to me. I am currently listening to the talks from the October 2010 General Conference. I can see that these men were aware of the way the world was going before it happened. Earlier this week I was listening to the talk given by Bishop Richard C. Edgley . It is powerful and I wanted to share part of it. "When the disciples asked Jesus why they could not cast a devil out as they had just witnessed the Savior do, Jesus answered, 'If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove' ( Matthew 17:20 ). Family

I am grateful that family love knows no distance. While this is currently the farthest I lived from my family, I have never felt closer to them. This summer was a pretty crazy one for us. We were on an emotional rollercoaster. When we were at our lowest point, there was nothing we could do on our own that could bring us out of it. We tried so hard and a dark cloud just hung over us. My family had already been apprised of what was going on and were praying for us. They kicked it up a notch and held a fast for us. That morning was the first time in three weeks that I woke up and was not weighed down by what was going on. Amy Rosella shared this quote in our group text after shared how much better we were both doing. Source Sure, fasting and praying hasn't changed what's going on, but it did bring peace that we are on the right track. It is such a blessing that I can still rely on my family even though we are no where near each other.

Friends

I am so grateful for friends that feel like family. When we first moved to Texas, our nearest immediate family was 1,200 miles away. Even with that, we felt good about the move. We've made some of the most wonderful friends in the past 5 years and I am so grateful for them. Just tonight, some of them brought over lemon bars which was perfect because I was wanting something sweet to eat. Aaron loves lemon bars and pretending his food is a train.
