Summer Sickness

For a week, Aaron and Lucy were congested. Aaron slowly got better while Lucy finally had a fever on Friday afternoon. I started feeling a bit under the weather, but nothing near to Lucy. Thankfully, we got lots of naps this weekend including a car nap. And no, it's not cold enough for a sweatshirt, Lucy just likes wearing them no matter the weather.

Whenever I workout, I listen to General Conference talks. I listen to them a few times so I can focus on the message in each talk and how it applies to me. I am currently listening to the talks from the October 2010 General Conference. I can see that these men were aware of the way the world was going before it happened. Earlier this week I was listening to the talk given by Bishop Richard C. Edgley . It is powerful and I wanted to share part of it. "When the disciples asked Jesus why they could not cast a devil out as they had just witnessed the Savior do, Jesus answered, 'If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove' ( Matthew 17:20 ). I have never witnessed the removal of an actual mountain. But because of faith I have seen a mountain of doubt and despair removed and replaced with hope and optimism. A Special Day

Today is a very special day for our little family. It marked one year since we found out we were pregnant. I still vividly remember that day. It was a quiet, Sunday morning. Jonathan was still half asleep and then I tackled him with the positive pregnancy test in hand. He immediately was wide awake and grinning from ear to ear. What a difference a year makes. I am so grateful that Jonathan and I were sealed in the temple. One day, we will be reunited with our angel baby. Until then, we will continue to be grateful for the time we shared. via This helped give me some much needed perspective this year.

I am grateful that I am finished with Sierra. I started out this semester thinking I had one more class to take and then I would finish my Associates degree, but I was already done. During the second week of school, I was having severe pregnancy symptoms and couldn't go to class. By the end of the week, I realized I wasn't going to be able to continue so I met with a counselor to figure out some other options for me. She didn't have any answers to that question, but she did tell me that I had already finished two degrees. I was stunned! In December, I will be receiving my degrees in Natural Science and Physics. It has been really wonderful to be working full time and not have to worry about school. This is Jonathan's degree.
